Polled Vision has been a solid performer for us here at Broken Oak Ranch. This outstanding herd sire has produced with out a doubt some of the best consistent performing animals. His females are top sellers in our production sales and has produced many sons that our out in our customers pastures doing a great job. Mating decisions to cows in our outstanding cow herd are really easy as he brings so much to the table in the form of phenotype, gain performance, and easy doing capability. We use him exclusively on our mature cows. His progeny are easy doing and most make it to our replacement pens. We think so much of this great bull that we are keeping a herd sire prospect out of him and our great donor Phenomenon. Out of 130 progeny born here we have had 4 assisted births, all of them just cow things like a foot back and such. His progeny averaged 89 pounds at birth and 570 pounds at weaning. The latest carcass EPD's are out and he is in the top 3 bulls in the breed. Easy doing, great feed efficiency, and top carcass traits all in one great polled package.
This is one of the typical Vision sired females in our herd. As you can see he puts Butts and Guts into his progeny. We recommend him on mature cows although we have only had a few assisted births with him. Vision is the best income returning bull we have owned to date. We have a son out of our donor cow Phenomenon coming on line this spring as one of our next herd sires that we are very excited about. His female progeny are very functional and easy doing, have great udder attachment and are early maturing. We have semen available on Vision for the commercial breeder @ $10 per straw with a certificate feed for any calf registered. |
