BOR BLACK TOM |
|
BOR Black Tom was born, raised, and developed here at Broken Oak Ranch. This outstanding ¾ percentage bull puts it all in his progeny. He was a stand out from the time he was born. In his bull tests among a group of 40 bulls he had an ADG of 4.7 pounds, a WDA 3.27 and a WDA ration of 109. He started out with an 82 pound birth weight and ended up with a 1166 pound yearling weight. His scan numbers were great and his overall performance was outstanding. Again a docile animal produced at Broken Oak Ranch and developed the Broken Oak way. His female progeny are purebred and are standouts in both the pastures and the show ring. He has tested homozygous polled and still has all of the performance. We are offering a limited amount of breeding shares in this bull. We are showing show calf pictures out of Tom because they are the best pictures. The best calves I think are in our replacement pasture. This is not a bull of the month club bull, but the real deal. Miss BOR 1194S shown here as the 2007 Braunvieh NAILE reserve grand champion. This gives you an idea of the outstanding progeny that Black Tom produces. Front pasture kind of looks but with the ability to make our living in the back pasture. He does this with consistency. His calves stand out in the pastures and in the show ring. His progeny are fast gainers and easy doing calves. We can not say enough about them. An interesting note is that Miss BOR 1194S was reserve behind Iron Maiden a Polled Thunder daughter and Lone Star Fanny 710G one of our donor cows, and is the daughter out of one of El Conquistador daughters that is heading to the donor pasture. Bull power & Cow Power what you will find at BOR. This heifer was displayed and shown for us by FLYING I RANCH. A great job as always.
Very few times in your life time do you get a chance to meet and do business with a family that is special and that leave a lasting impression on you. The Zulim family is one of these families. Watching them over the years in the show ring made us really excited when they picked a Tom daughter to show. Not only this opportunity but the chance to have a BOR heifer named uniquely like only Victoria can. Miss BOR Skittels is shown here at Ft Worth. This is a heifer that will be one to watch on the show circuit as she matures. As you can see she is a very powerful female that is just now coming into her own. This heifer has been one of Eric's favorites since she was born, and you can see the look of pride on his face in this picture.
