Broken Oak Ranch is your one stop source for either commercial bulls or registered herd sires. All of our bulls go through our extensive bull development program that starts at weaning. We adhere to a strict culling program based on many industry standards. At weaning any bull that has had large birth weights or an assisted birth is culled, along with any that do not fit the look and build that we are striving for. After 2 weeks in our weaning program we again weigh and evaluate each bull before he goes to our back grounding pastures.
After a 2 month warm up period our bulls are put on the BOR Bull Test. Here they are weighed again at the start and feed intake is controlled to maximize each individual animals genetic growth potential. Mid term weights are taken and any that are not reaching what we feel is an acceptable level are culled and sent to the feedlots. At yearling age all bulls are scanned for rib eye area and back fat, pelvic measured, weighed and linear measured. Again at this time any not meeting acceptable criteria are culled. After leaving the BOR Bull Test Program the bulls are turned out on pasture until they are sold to insure fit athletic breeders. No bull leaves Broken Oak Ranch with out being tested for breeding soundness.
Our management staff works hard to try to match the right bull with our customers program. We adhere to the policy that if it is not good enough for our program it is not good enough to sell as seed stock. We provide all of the information that we have collected on our bulls for your review and to help you make the best decision possible for your program.

 We are starting a bull sale program in December of 2008 to be held here at the ranch. It will be a selection type sale and you will be able to view the bulls in their pens and chose the ones that you want. We will have all of the data available for your consideration. If you are looking for performance bulls that have been bred right and raised right this is going to be your opportunity to reach into our proven program and chose the very best bull to fit your needs. There will be no chance for anyone to pick over the bulls and buy private treaty before sale day. We keep and develop only the best. All of the bulls pictured on this page will be offered December 10,2008. We thank all of our bull customers to date and have had several good reports back on the calves that Broken Oak Ranch Genetics have produced.

Our next bull test completes the middle of October 2008 and we will post results then. Also we will offer a select group of these yearling bulls in our December Bull Sale as either show prospects or herd sire prospects.
