BOR Announces Private Treaty Sales for All 2009 Bulls

 Due to the extreme drought that we have faced over the past few years in our area BOR has had to cull deeply and one of the area's that we did so in was our Bull Development program. We sent bulls to the Green Springs Test for this Springs BAA bull test selling some there , culling heavily and only bringing a handful home out of the very top end. To keep our costs down we decided to concentrate on keeping our replacement females and culling heavily into our bull replacement pens. This being said we kept only 20 bulls which does not justify the expense of a production sale. What we are doing is offering these bulls to our repeat customers private treaty at a value price. We have truly got a set of bulls that are second to none for sale. Roger McDowall Joins the Broken Oak Ranch Team

 Roger McDowall has joined the Broken Oak Ranch Team taking over full responsibilities for our cattle operations.

We are excited about Rodger coming on board and after this short time already feel his input helping us. With Roger joining our staff it allows Eric to concentrate on the daily operations of keeping a large ranch like ours running.

 Along with Roger's extensive Braunvieh experience he also brings his experience of placing cattle in feedlots and managing this part of the operation.
