Greystone Foreman

Sometimes luck just brings you good things and that has been the case with Greystone Foreman. His homozygous polled, black, and very impressive. He is usually the first bull that visiting cow people go up to if our bulls are in the bull pastures at the front entrance.

We were quite about him as we did not know how he was going to perform, well, we know now. Looking for calving ease here he is, looking for great growth numbers in a bulls progeny, here he is. This is the most complete black homozygous polled bull that has walked the pastures at Broken Oak Ranch. That says a lot for this bull.

Roger has been wild about his calves for the last couple of years. Many of our visitors pick out his calves in the pastures when we are looking at our herd.

Sire by Polled Thunder out of a Pure Chrome daughter that was in our Spring 09 sale this herdsire has had 45 calves with us to date, an 83 pound average birth weight with no assists, his weaning weights have averaged 550 pounds ratio ing 104 and his yearling weights, which all have been on heifers, has averaged 762 with a ratio of 100 for his contemporary group of females. His progeny are coming into service now.

We are so impressed with him that he is going to the collection farm this fall and even will get a new picture. Semen available fall of 09 for $10 straw certificate fee will apply. Click here for his records.
