Polled Thunder shown here at 12 years old is one of the most influential polled bulls in the breed. He has sired countless herd sires such as Coal Miner, Joker, and Rumbles along with many outstanding females.

 His sons and daughters are well known in the show arena having produced numerous grand champions. His daughters are some of our best females and we have many cow families built around this great herd sire. Homozygous polled and easy calving has been a great trait that he has passed on.

 He is in retirement now and will live out his days in one of the front pasture bull runs. EPD LINK.

 Polled Thunder has produced so many great Braunvieh bulls and Females that it would be impossible to put them on this site. You will find his progeny through out the breed and in our own herd. His sons are some of the most respected sires in the breed today, not only because of phenotype but also performance. So many of his progeny were registered in small groups his EPD numbers are skewed. With us he has averaged 82 pound birth weight and 567 pound weaning weight on 200 progeny. We consider him an easy calving bull that we used on mature cows. He has been one of the foundations of our program here at Broken Oak Ranch.
