 We have a very strict culling program that starts with birth weight and goes all the way through breeding. We do not want our own heifers to be problems and we sure do not want to furnish our customers with a non functional heifer. Of course as in anything involving animals in general and cattle in particular some things do go wrong. With that in mind we have made the determination to only sell coming second calf replacements as the youngest offerings in our production sales from now on. Of course we will still sell private treaty bred heifers if our customers want that age but our intent is to get the first calf experience behind our replacement females so that we can offer you the best chance of trouble free ownership in your Braunvieh investment.
